Rachel Armstrong RN, MSN, CPNP has always loved being around and helping kids. She began babysitting at the age of 10, in a rural part of Iowa. Once she decided to become a nurse, pediatrics is where she worked from the very beginning. She worked in a hospital in Mesa and then as a school nurse before deciding to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. By this time, she already had 10 years’ experience in nursing and had raised two sons in the small community of Show Low. After working in different locations in the White Mountains, she has now relocated to the Rim Country full time to open her own practice in Payson. She spent most weekends living part-time in Tonto Basin for 6 years and loved it so much that Payson seemed a great place to open an office. Owning her own private practice has always been a dream of Rachel’s. She strives to keep the healthcare of her patients personable and special in every way. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her alma mater ASU football and spending time with family and friends in the woods, the lake or most anywhere outdoors.
